2010 Newsletter – First Edition

Welcome to the first 2010 edition of the Blue Water Divers Newsletter.  In this issue we welcome the new year with a number of articles about NEW things…

New Year and New Gear

We are very happy to start 2010 with new gear orders for our entire line of rental gear. We have already received new regulators from Genesis and we are also getting new BCDs from Sherwood, new wetsuits from Xcel, and we are replenishing our masks and fins. We have even purchased 300 additional pounds of lead weight so we will always have enough of what it takes to get you down!!  🙂

New Year and New Ways of Staying in Touch

Blue Water Divers invites you to join our interest group on Facebook!  As some of you know, we established an interest group on Facebook in late 2009.  This is a great way to stay in touch with the us and the new diving friends you have met here.  Join us and our growing circle of friends to add your photos and stories!

We also have a mailing list that presently is used to distribute this quarterly newsletter to friends of Blue Water Divers around the world.  If you are already on our mailing list, you will receive this newsletter via e-mail.  If you see this newsletter on our website and would like to be added to our mailing list, please click here: Add me to your mailing list!

We’d also love to hear from you about topics you’d like to see covered in upcoming editions of this newsletter. Email us with your topic ideas and suggestions!

New Year and New Logo

We are proud to announce that Blue Water Divers now has a new logo.  During 2010 we will be adding it to our www.grandturkscuba.com website and of course we look forward to having it on new t-shirts and mailings, etc.  Same great service and diving…with a brand new look for our logo!

New Year and New CD

My new CD release will be coming out in 2010.  Sorry that we missed your Christmas orders for 2009… but it is never too early to start thinking about stocking stuffers for next year! Plans are also underway for a new Mitch Rolling website.  Both the CD release and the new website will be announced in an upcoming edition of the Blue Water Divers newsletter.

New Year and New Neighbors

We are pleased to welcome to the Osprey Beach Atrium a new deli and retail store, called Joan’s Place, which opened on 12 February 2010.

Joan, from the renowned Captain Zheng’s restaurant, is running it, and I have already sampled some mouthwatering selections!  Joan and Hedley have done a complete renovation where Prestigious Properties office used to be. It is an ideal location on Duke Street (conveniently located next to Blue Water Divers) and I am confident it will soon be a lunch hot spot…with great “to go” options as well.  And right next door Joan has also opened a new apparel store that offers casual resort wear. Both the deli and the shop look great!!

Congratulations Joan and welcome to the Atrium!

New Year and New House

It is official…my new house is now almost a house! As I mentioned in the last newsletter, Audrey and I moved in mid-Sept. 2009 with a mattress on the plywood floor.  There is still a lot to be done, but the kitchen sink and cabinets got put in just before New Year’s (yeah!), and it is really beginning to feel like home. I want to thank all of you who have wished me well along the way, and look forward to when our guest rooms are done so friends and family can come to visit!

Come Visit Us Again in 2010!

Remember that we offer all our repeat package divers a 10% discount on two tank morning package dives – so we hope to……..

      SEE YOU AGAIN IN 2010!!

Email us to let us know you are returning and make a reservation today!

I want to close by saying how excited I am to be going into 2010!! I am thrilled to have both Dan and Jesse staying on for another season, and with Audrey in the office this year is going to be the best ever!  It is such a relief to finally have most of the house construction behind me (anyone who has been through that can tell you it is quite a time consuming experience to go through), but well worth all the effort. With the boats in great shape and new gear, it makes it all the easier for all of us to do our job the best we can.  And that job is to not only get you out diving for some of the best wall diving in the Caribbean area, but also to make it FUN and easy!

I look forward to seeing you on Grand Turk soon!
